when i switch pc on all i am geeting is my wallpaper no start menu nothing

Restart in safe mode and run your anti virus and spyware which should all run in safe mode. If that doesnt work, try and save what you can to cd/dvd (depends where you've stored it and what software you've got as to whether you can do it in safe mode) then reformat the HD

you pc may need completely re-formatting, when you switch on your PC press F2 as its booting up to get into the startup menu or F12 for options - the keys vary on different PCs, you could have a virus????? Anyway type in your administrator password and go through the tools options, failing that ring your supplier/computer technician for help, unles syou feel up to re-formatting your computer = which means erasing everything on your computer - and re-installing it, and make sure your disconnected fromt he internet until your firewall and anti-virus is re-installed and working - id install them last,as they could interfere with loading of other programmes, failing all this I really dont know

if the pc aint new then i think you have a really bad virus that has taken over ur pc

take it back to your supplier or if it is new pc the pc supplier will
have the unlock key this is usually some numbers
