I recently started to fix an old computer for my sister. i took everything apart and took it out of the case to clean it then i put everything back in. when i went to turn the computer on, it turns on but none of the fans or anything work. the fan for the heat sink, the exhaust fan not even the fan on the video card works.. i havnt left the computer on for very long because i didint want anything to happen so i havnt really started it up and see if it runs.. i dont know why the fans wont work though, it may be worse then i think. anyone have any ideas? what should i do?

Make sure the power connector is fitted correctly!
The one that fits onto the motherboard.
Make sure it is the right one, and it is fitted the right way round.
ALL the components on the motherboard are static sensitive,
did you earth yourself?

Make sure the powersupply cables are all plugged in correctly. You may need to replace the fan... because it's actually a "moving" piece of hardware it's often the first thing that need to be replaced in computed.

i would buy new fans, and if that doesnt work, call the geek squad.
