2.71 se-b has all the great features of 2.71 such as flash and more video controls but it allows you to play any eboot or .iso or any other file that your psp will load. Basicly it's 2.71 but it can do the same things 1.5 can do. My advice is to go to www.pspupdates.com and find out more information and they also have free games to download.

p.s. 2.71 se-b means 2.71 Special Edition- Revision B
and always stick to custom firmware such as the new 3.02 0E-B that stands for 3.02 Open Edition- Revision B--- I reccomend that you stay at 2.71 Se-B for the time being and get used to the homebrew community of the PSP.

you have the 2.71 version, so u cant play homebrew games, or illegal games (which u shouldnt do :p). but you can get a program which basically crashes your psp system and resets it, it sounds scary and it is. imo i wouldnt do it, as peoples psp have recieved viruses and have been eaten :(. unless you want a black brick, go for it.

If it says it is 2.71, then it is and you can't go back to fw1.5
