They can tell I'm depressed should I just keep saying "I'm ok"? I don't think they care too much so maybe they'll just stop asking. It doesn't really bother me but I don't want them to do anything, still theres not much that they can do really.

People might care more than you think. Tell them how you really feel. Sometimes talking about it helps. I know that it is easier said than done. You might be suprised at the help you get.

Sorry Your down Kid, I hope You feel better soon. Anyway I never let any chance to exploit a situation go by regardless of my emotional state of well being so if they really are concerned I borrow money right then and there off any person showing that sort of interest into my mood spectrum. I don't pay it back either, I just throw it onto the pile! Happy New Year, and hey; give this a try; it'll really cheer You up!!!!

It depends on who is asking. If it is someone close to you, who really cares, it's OK to be real with them. A good friend understands that some days are better than others, and will be your friend every day no matter what.

For everyone else, a "thank you for asking, I'm ok." is enough.

I hope your depression gets better. Winter sux. Hang in there.

well say you're ok to people who don't care (if a store clerk asks you how you're doing don't tell them you're depressed, you'll look crazy). if you don't want to talk about it, tell them you're ok. If you want to talk about it and it's appropriate to do so, tell them you're not ok. Some people ask how you're doing as a greeting. No matter what, we usually say "good" but if someone is asking because they are trying to be there for you and think you may want to talk, talk to them. You just need to know the difference btw. the two.

Depends on the person asking...

Some people use "Are you OK?" as they don't know what else to say, and would not be prepared for a truthful answer anyway. This sort of sucks as if you are already depressed, the last thing you need on your mind is "filtering" reponses to questions like this.

True friends will want to know, and will want to listen. Talk to someone. If you don't know who to talk to, don't worry. There is always someone out there...

Honesty is a good choice. Most people ask because they care.

Honesty is the best policy. If you really are 'fine' and you'll be over it. Then telling them you're fine is ok.
