I got an upgrade pack for my Vodafone (Nokia 6101) and when I try to send a text it says 'Message sending not allowed'. Multi media messages can be sent and I can receive texts and make calls. Any ideas?

Your phone may not have vodafone message centre number stored correctly. It is normally stored under message settings on your phone. The message centre number should for pay manthly should read +447785016005 (or +447785016005 for pay as you go SIM). If this is not shown you will need to delete whatever is there and enter the relevant number.

If this does not help then contact vodafone customer service directly and report the problem.

Your new Sim card hasn't been activated yet. Give them a call and a couple of activation texts will be sent through.
