The highest cost for most businesses is their human resource. the people who work for a company are both their biggest asset ( they could do nothing without us ) and their biggest liability ( we could ruin their business in a day if we tried! )...so most companies are very careful whom they hire.

at your age, labor laws in most states prohibit your working full-time for anyone. and, at your age, you really don't want to be working full-time, anyhow. you're young...enjoy your youth. even if you made huge amounts of cash, trading your youth for money is never a good deal.

try the standard one-on-one service kinds of things: baby-sitting, house-sitting, yard work ( there are a LOT of people who would be glad to hire someone who is not an illegal immigrant to work around their place ) and check with some of your friends whose folks own a business to see if they need office or warehouse help.

i'm proud of you for seeking a job. too many young guys want things handed to them, instead of trying to earn their own way. good attitude. that will mean a lot to you as you move along.

leave your computer...get out there and meet people and stick your neck out a bit. people in business love to see folks who want to work. face-to-face is how to do it.
