While it probably isn't a good idea to drink while you are pregnant, it probably won't hurt the baby if you have one and no more.

Remember that until partway through the 20th century most water was less sanitary than beer or wine (the alcohol kills microbes/bacteria). This means that for most of the history of the world people have been drinking beer and/or wine without worrying about FAS.

The link is a good one that gives a moderate, balanced view of drinking during pregnancy and FAS instead of the mass hysteria that most people have posted. They seem to have been well indoctrinated with what the media has had to say on the matter.

I'd like to suggest a healthy, delicious punch that you can make from your favorite fruit juice: 2 oz juice, 10 oz water, + just a bit of Stevia rebaudiana to sweeten. (Stevia is an herb from which a white powder is extracted & used as a sweetener.) My favorite juice to use is cherry, or cherry-apple cider. Any juice can be used. I also prefer to sip it thru a straw.

I also strongly suggest that you read up on alcohol's affects on the unborn, at ...

YES! You are not to drink one little sip of alcohol when you are pregnant! Please stop for a second and think of your baby! Would you get your infant baby drunk?! Your baby gets the effects of alcohol like 10 times what you do! Please do not drink! Also you can't drink when you breastfeed because it goes directly into your milk! Happy Pregnancy! :)

Talk to your doctor about issues such as this - your child's health is too important to rely upon "common sense", "my momma told me" answers.
