If you're a beatles fan of course not, but if you're the record company trying to make the Beatles sound more frsh to attract nw listeners it's a great idea.

i wouldn't...but, that's just me...musically, i don't think ANYTHING is sacred, and, besides-that barn door flew open years ago...who HASN'T covered a Beatles song? most of the covers stink, although buffy st marie covered 'rocky raccoon' once and it wssn't too bad...i prefer to listen to the original, altough the songs weren't always released the way the songwriter wanted it to sound-for instance, 'yesterday'-all the extra strings and stuff...paul mccartney hated that...i heard HIS preferred version-just himself on an acoustic guitar...and it was MUCH better...

This question only has one answer: NO!!!
Reasons:
1. They are all copywrited
2. It would destroy their original value and meaning
3. The VERY many fans would be outraged, as many already are with poorly done cover songs.
4. They just couldn't be any better than they already are - They are a LEGEND, and an inspiration to zillions of artists(as they are).

Well, I really haven't listened to the new CD. But really, no. The Beatles are sacred and should be preserved.

I think that great music like theirs is always best the way it was written originally, but trying new things with is okay as long as you give credit where credit is due...

Yes, especially the percussion side of things.. John Lennon was once asked if Ringo was the best drummer in the world... Lennon responded that he didn't think that Ringo was even the best drummer in the Beatles...

typically no, but when i was really young maybe 4 or 5, i had that chipmunks sing the beetles tape. it was my most favorite thing ever, but to seriously cover a beetles song is a big no-no.

No Way!!! Not ever. Remaking thier songs is like repainting a Dali. It just doesn't make sense.
