Not unless its his grandma! All kidding aside, it is possible. I think it would be a problem if they are attracted to each other physically though. I have had some female friends but I really knew too much about them (like who they slept with and stuff like that) to want to be with them in a romantic way. I think the thought of it though will always back on the backburner.

yes! I have had many male friends that never expected anything like that. Not all men are pigs, in fact there are many women who only befriend a guy for his body, or bragging rights. A lot of people think that men are pigs and only want sex, but a lot of females are like this, too.
but, on the other hand, the other half of the male population will only befriend a woman for sex, or if she has something else they want. But, after time and experience, you get to the point where you can point out the men that are like this.
Don't ever place judgment upon every male, because even though they might be few and far in between, there are really nice men out there, that don't want every woman for sex; and can truly be a genuine friend toward you.
I hope I helped, and Happy New Year!

A man and a woman can be best friends. My friend's (female) best friend is a guy and they have known each other for 20 years. They are still best friends and nothing has ever happened between the two of them. I am a girl and I also have a very close (male) friend. However, we had sex .... after a party ;-) In the first days afterwards we felt quite awkward about it but in the end we got along with the situation. We are still friends. It is possible to be friends, but you need to be honest about it.

It really depends on the man. For instance I have female friends that I do not want to sleep with but at the same time I find them attractive (and im not gay). But also I have friends that I have women friends that I have thought about sleeping with but would never do it. It is true that men all think about sex all the time but many men don’t act on every sexual desire.

Sure they can...and even if a guy befriends a woman he may want to have sex with her or wonder what it would be like, but also understand that's not where their relationship is and so keep it appropriate and friendly regardless.
Men and women often have relationships that don't involve sex...I've had many male friends I didn't fool around with.

Have you ever seen "When Harry Met Sally?"
Funny movie.
Harry Burns: You realize of course that we could never be friends.
Sally Albright: Why not?
Harry Burns: What I'm saying is - and this is not a come-on in any way, shape or form - is that men and women can't be friends because the sex part always gets in the way.
Sally Albright: That's not true. I have a number of men friends and there is no sex involved.
Harry Burns: No you don't.
Sally Albright: Yes I do.
Harry Burns: No you don't.
Sally Albright: Yes I do.
Harry Burns: You only think you do.
Sally Albright: You say I'm having sex with these men without my knowledge?
Harry Burns: No, what I'm saying is they all WANT to have sex with you.
Sally Albright: They do not.
Harry Burns: Do too.
Sally Albright: They do not.
Harry Burns: Do too.
Sally Albright: How do you know?
Harry Burns: Because no man can be friends with a woman that he finds attractive. He always wants to have sex with her.
Sally Albright: So, you're saying that a man can be friends with a woman he finds unattractive?
Harry Burns: No. You pretty much want to nail 'em too.

Of course a man can befriend a woman without wanting sex. Many men just prefer the company of women.

listen attraction is not a dessicion, it just happens. and quite frankly if your attractive then of course the thought is going to cross their mind. But i have 2 very close friends who are attractive but i would not make a move on. So yes you can have a guy friend who will not try to have sex with you. If i had to guess a guy told you this, and the guy who told you is ether your boyfriend or wants to be. but you can't jugde every guy like this, i'm sure there are many people who can become very close to you and not ever make a move on you. Good luck babe

You really cant be sure because not all straight men are the same. Some of them you can trust and others you cant trust. Most men you can tell by their actions, but other men are really good with hiding the fact that their only friends with you because they want to sleep with you. So you just have to be very careful of what you do when your around men that you think want to sleep with you.

It is possible but only under one condition. He is not attracted to her in the least. If he does not find her sexually attractive but admires her intelligence and finds her to be a great friend then yes he can be that friend.
But if and or once he begins to find her attractive then he can still be friends but sex will always be part of it. Even if he doesn't act on it.
