well i hurt in june of 2006 at soccer camp. i severely sprained it. and it's still a little swollen..i've been playing soccer for a while now and it seems ok but the swelling???

It will always be a bit larger than the other one.
I had a badly sprained ankle.
You're a tough cookie to be playing soccer again so soon.
You may think 7 months is a long time but when it comes to a sprained ankle it's not as long as you think.
It took a year before I got basic mobility back in my ankle and that was just for walking with only limited stiffness.
It's been over 5 years now and the ankle is fine but it was 3 years before I had 75-80% mobility back.
Long story short the injured ankle will always be a little bigger.

I would have it checked out by a doctor. I had the same problem and had it checked. The doctor said that it is normal for your ankle to swell when you have been doing a lot of standing activities. It also depends on if you have a lot of salt in your diet.

get it checked out. it's probably not the same sprain - you have probably hurt it again and again over the time. if it never healed properly to begin with this is a good possibility
