When i first got hired, i had no friends and i finally befriended a guy that is almost twice my age. he is married with two children. i was glad to make a friend, and i gave him my cell phone number for a work related thing only one time. but now, he keeps calling me and leaving me voicemails. it is almost scaring me. he keeps asking me to do things, to go to parties with him, out to eat. How can I make him back off without making things akward at work? if his wife ever found out, she'd deck me!

Get him to one side and tell him you are not interested in him romantically, and that you just want to get on with work.

Tell him he must have misunderstood your feelings and put him straight.

Been there done that.

The older man I worked with would breath in my ear sweet nothings and made me feel awkward.

You may lose a friendship over this as I did but it cannot go on.

Tell him straight out how you feel about this. You can emphasize the fact that you would never consider going out with a married man, thus it's not so personal, and he won't have to feel that you are rejecting him personally. it sounds like you have nothing to hide at this point, so i think you should tell him and if he continues bothering you, imply that you might talk to his wife about it.

that is kinda scary. I would say for now just keep saying no to his invites. But if he starts trying to hold ur hand or kiss you then you should tell him striaght that u don't like him and he should just back off! Hopefully that helps, if not you could always change ur number and "forget" to tell him. lol j/k

You have to tell him to stop. Don't just sit there and not do anything. I don't think he's necessarily stalking you, but he's hoping to have an affair. If he doesn't stop then you have no choice but to make a sexual harrassment complaint with the company.

This man is stalking you, you need to tell him ONE TIME to leave you alone, if he doesn't stop, file a report with your company and if that doesn't work go to your local poice dept and file a report.

TELL HIM, IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS, THAT YOU WILL REPORT HIM FOR HARASSMENT IF HE DOES NOT LEAVE YOU COMPLETELY ALONE. OR SIMPLY TELL YOUR EMPLOYER AND HAVE THE IDIOT FIRED!
