Armed Saddam in the 1980's during the war he had with Iran. The Afghani Mujuhideen were given sting missles, training, lots of weapons and other war supplies by the U.S. and its Arab and Pakistani allies beginning late 70's.

The lesson from this children is simple: If you are a junk yard dog, and I feed you, and train you, and support you and you turn on your Master...I will most assuredly fvck up your life.

In both cases the dogs turned on their Master..and we most assuredly fvcked up their day!

Like I said in another post, you may not like how the Big Dog runs the world, but when one of you "developing countries" can knock us off the gold medal stand (an someday someone will eventually, every empire falls) then you get to run the world YOUR way.

Until then.....the winner gets to write the rules. Which is the second lesson.

If you are a Yank then the answer is YES. You armed the Taliban when the Russians were in Afghanistan and Iraq when they were fighting the Iranian Islamic Republic. You also arm the Israelis, who are nothing but trouble in the Middle East. Strange that you are now universally hated????

What about it? I mean, I can't remember it, but I know it happened... that's realpolitik for you... like when the advanced countries ignored Indonesia's subjugation of the East Timorese because they wanted Indonesian raw materials and the easy cash made from selling arms back to those guys.

As the old saying goes 'Beat the bush, and you will find a snake'.
Doesn't matter which bush either...
