He got huffy that I wanted to go out with friends New Years Eve. He didn't like the idea that he would come home from work to an empty house. So I stayed home alone with him and he went to bed at 8:30 since he had to get up at 3:30am to work. I woke him up a little before midnight and when midnight came he just says Happy New Year and tried to sleep again. I had to remind him to kiss me. How would you feel about that?

If I was you i woulden't of woken him up I would of eather left a note or rang him through the day and said Happy New Year and kissed him when he came home. So yes you are over reacting a little bit. Your husband had a good exuse If I had to get up at that time I would of done the same. Would you?

Your husband is obviously working like a dog to support his family - sounds like you should actually respect him for that. Who cares about New Years Eve anyway. Does it matter that he wasn't awake at the exact moment? I suspect he got "huffy" because he wanted to spend time with you even though he needed to go to sleep early.

Well, the work schedule didn't work well with New Years. What did you expect him to do, stay up and get 3 hours of sleep? At the same time he should have been open to you going out. You guys gotta communicate better.

for times like this you need a compromise. you could have stayed home until, say 9 pm, when he should be getting to bed. then you could have gone with your friends for the night. make an early dinner and you two celebrate when you can. i had to work until 5 pm yesterday, so that left my hubby to spend time with who he wanted, as long as we were together later. talk about it, it really works....

Give him a break, He was sleeping. He had to get up at 3:30 a.m. Why don't you try it to see how awake and wanting to kiss you are?

He had work at 3:30am. Why the hell would you wake him up? Do you not like how he makes money to support you? Get a life.

He needs sleep. Don't worry. He needs to work also. New year is just another day of work for him.
