Over the past ten or fifteen years the lane has seen a sucession of managers going in and out with very little success. Of course we won the worthington cup as it was know in the late nineties and we have a very brief run in europe, but in the last few years under the guidance of Jol we have achieved a steady development of a good first team. We achieved a respectable finish last season only being pipped for the champions league by Arsenal on the last day of the season. And over the last summer break we offloaded a great number of players and bought in a lot more. And these signings have been estute whilst still in keeping with the english backbone of the team. i believe without Jols influence we would not have helped develop such promising young players as Dawson, Lennon and Huddlestone. I agree that this season has had its ups and downs, but we are not so far behind in the premiership that we cant get a champions league place, we have a good record in the uefa cup and a half decent chance in progressing, and are still in both cup competitons. We are playing more games, getting more money from tv and bums on seats. Jol is building a future at the lane, we may walk away with nothing again this season, but the team is young and is getting lots of experience. And that is giving me hope that we can achieve in the near future and give the top four a run for their money and reassures that putting my faith in Jol is not a bad idea.

YES!! Although, I wish he would realise when certain players are and aren't playing well!

Jermaine Jenas-its a blessing that he's injured-the guy is teribble
Hossam Ghaly-WHEN will he realise that he does not deserve a first team place? He gives the ball away far to much.
Didier Zokora-Ive only seen him play well in two matches this season, his work rate is poor most games.

Danny Murphy-Does not play nowhere near as much as he should, he is a fantastic player.
Steed Malbranque-Why does he take this guy off during games?
Edgar Davids-Has played well this year as a substitute, and he works hard! Funny cos last year he was very up and down and Jol had him in most games!
Wayne Routledge-Why is he on loan AGAIN?? Fantastic winger.

of course he is.
Jol manages to get results whilst playing the kind of attractive, atttacking, passing football that Spurs are famous for.
he nearly directed us to a champions league place in his second full season which no other Spurs manager in the Premiership has even got close to.
he has invested in young talent, and a lot of English talent, like Huddlestone, Lennon, Dawson, Davenport and bringing in an experienced master, Davids, was a master stroke. he snared Berbatov who is exceptional this season, Chimbonda has performed well as has Zokora. he has got the very best out of Keane and Defoe over the last two seasons.
He has guided us to the Carling Cup semi final, four wins out of four in the UEFA cup, twelve succesive wins at home.
he is intelligent and upholds the traitions of Spurs, he doesnt rant, rave, shout and blame everyone but himself like a certain Portugese gentleman.
He is the right man, he needs to be given a bit more time because he is building a young team. He has had great success (for a Spurs team) but needs time to cement that. You just wait and see! Jol is the man!

I totally agree with Ben C. spot on mate....too many clubs sack managers without giving them a chance! look at how long it took Alex Ferguson at Utd...he was there 4 or 5 years building the team, before they won anything! Jol needs a bit more time!

ben has sumed it up in his answer and to me jol is a god for what he has done for the lilywhites and without him we would be struggling like we have since venables left.he`s the best manager weve had for a long time and has a great eye for good young talent and with the blend of talent like davids, king, robbo, berbatov then i think we will only get better, its got all spurs fans excited again.
just a shame we cant get wembley as a home ground because we would more or less fill it every week!!

he will definately take care of Spurs back, i mean as he as stated he desires to stay in England. If he desires to try this he greater advantageous have been given to a decrease league club or maybe take care of Wigan when you consider that they're the sole prem team searching for a supervisor. Or watch for the region at Fulham or maybe Liverpool in the event that they don't shape up.

Looking at his CV you'd see he's coached some great teams in Holland and really changed things in one of those clubs.

The proof is what he's now doing at Spurs which every single fan is happy. I think they have a great chance to get to the final of both Carling Cup and UEFA Cup which I'd like to see them win one of them or even both.

Good Luck, Spursmen!!!
