I lied to my baby about giving up her dummy. Told her the dummy Fairies wanted it for the new babies. I didn't feel bad!

For me, it's better not to lie in any time.
But here is my thought:-
okay to lie
-in life-threatening case: e.g: to a criminal because he's gonna kill you, or he kidnap your child
hiding
-sometimes you don't have to lie. Just hide the truth.
Like telling your friend that the food that she cook can be improved by adding this and that, rather than saying it is it taste bad.
Well, lie is not good coz in a relationship because if you get caught, it will be much complicated.
If someone ask you some offended question. Say that you can't answer that question coz you feel offended rather than lying.

It's never okay to tell a lie. The truth is always better. Lies lead to more and more lies, it never stops. If you just say the truth, its over, but when you lie, you have to keep lying to make people believe you.

When you really don't want to hurt someone. When I was pregnant with both of my children I felt like a fat cow. I know I looked terrible. But everyday my husband told me I was beautiful.

it's not ok. if you think you're going to say something that might offend someone, just ask them "do you really want my opinion"? this gives them an "out" if they don't want you to tell them the truth.

There are times when it's not just ok, it's obligatory...i.e. 'does this make my butt look fat?' You just lie. Say, no, you look ok. Unless it's split and has a huge hole!
