The way you find out if your child has a talent for a gymnastics is if they have good coordination, skill, strength, and flexibility. Also, if they can handle themselves well on the apparatuses, and perform skills with personality and precision.

As long as she enjoys it and has developed a passion for it overtime, she'll probably keep working at it and will develop a talent eventually, plus, she's a little young. It also helps if she's short, then she can do the flips and stuff easier. Right now at her age, if you really want to know, ask the instructor, but always be encouraging.

it looks like she may never get to the olympics, but
she is learning and developing her body in healthy
ways. if she is enjoying it i would say let her keep
on but if she wants out or if you are only interested
in a champion then take the pressure off her and
let her do something she likes.

What level is she in? That info would help a lot. I say this because with 5 years of gym under her belt i need to be able to compare her progress in five years with her potential which you decribed.
