What do i do ? I'm 15
Have horrid smelly discharge. Really horrid brownish / greenish colour.
I'm a Virgin - so what is this discharge.?
Scared of telling Mum - because, i don't wan't to,go to the Gyno.
Very scared of being examined.
please help me. Scared & don't know what to do.

That sounds like it could be Bacterial Vaginosis(BV). It is caused by an overgrowth of bacteria in the vagina and virgins can get it too. That discharge by the description of the color and smell sounds like it is definately an infection. If you have an infection like this, it needs to be treated as soon as possible because there are certain infections that can cause infertility if left untreated. It may be embarassing and you may be scared but you have to tell your mum. There are oral antibiotics and vaginal antibiotic creams that can help you. If it would make you feel more comfortable, you can ask for a female gynecologist and your mum can be in the room with you. Good luck!

sounds like bacterial infection smell like fish? if so 100% sure its a bacterial infection nothing to be alarmed over and you dont need a gyno for it but you do need a doctor rather it be your family doctor or one at the health clinic you have to get antibiotics to get rid of it dont douch what ever you do it will make it worse and make it smell worse. never never douch it washes good bacteria out of the vagina and can push bad bacteria in to the cervix and up to your other woman parts. but you do seriously need a doctor dont be scared to tell your mom its just something girls get some times ive had one it doesnt mean your dirty you can get it from wiping the wrong way or if your extremley active from sweat and dirt build up. but please see a dr im not sure if untreated how bad it can get but wouldnt it be worth getting meds so you dont have a smell vagina? to me that was what made me go to the dr. its not sexually transmitted so calm down and tell your mom you need a dr. because you think you have a yeast infection or some kind of infection. HUN ITS NOT A YEAST INFECTION. yeast infections you get white discharge and it itches bad sometimes hurts. yeast infections arent green and using yeast infection meds with the wronge infection might do more harm than good

It sounds like vaginitis.
Wash your labia and the outside of your vagina really well, and wear cotton underwear. If it doesn't go away in a couple days, go ahead and tell your mom.
These types of infection are very common, and nothing to be embarrassed about. Even if you have to go to the gynecologist, you will probably only receive an external exam and not a pap smear because you're a virgin, so it won't hurt.

You need to find out what is wrong with you hun - this could be a very serious health problem. Don't be embarrassed (i know it's not much of a comfort but I hope it will at least help a bit) - doctors deal with this every day - it's their job, Pop along to your gp or local practise nurse - if for nothing other than your peace of mind.

It sounds like you have an infection. A pretty nasty one, but he sound of it. Gross, yes, but not something you need be ashamed of... it's very easy to get these, even if you have never had sex. You don't need to be frightened: this stuff is not going to kill you or anything, but you do need to see a doctor. A quick course of drugs will fix you right up, but they are prescription drugs. So you need to grit your teeth and see a physician.
A gynecological exam is not fun, but it isn't painful, and it's nothing to be afraid of. Every woman has to go through them if she wants to be healthy. Just tell your mom that you have an infection, and you think you should go to a doctor. She probably knows a good doc, and will get you an appt.

If you use tampons you may have left one up inside yourself and forgotten. Even if that is not the case it really sounds like you should go see a doctor, it's better than you getting an infection and dying! That is what could happen if you don't get medical attention since you have no idea what is really going on.

It sounds like to me you may have a yeast infection. Don't be afraid to talk to your mom. Have you been on antibiotics lately? An old doctor once told me that the #1 reason for women who experience infections down there is that they wipe the wrong way after doing #2. Consider that. Try your best to only wear 100% cotton panties. Since you're not sexually active, then we can rule out a sexually transmitted disease......unless another person has touched you down there with their hands.......then it can't be ruled out. Now is the time to be honest with your mom. If need be, make her take you to a doctor. Best of luck to you.

You can get vaginal infections without being sexually active, its quite common. BUT, you will need to see someone to correctly diagnose it and to get on any necessary antibiotics/creams. Don't be ashamed, its totally common. I work at a sexual health clinic and we see loads of women a day for these issues. You can even make an appointment yourself with a Planned Parenthood or affiliate, or local non profit sexual health clinic, without telling your mom. They are willing to work on reduced fee scales most the time.

Don't be embarressed. First...just calm down and tell your mother. Because its most likely an infection and if you don't get it treated...that wouldn't be good.
I understand how you feel about not wanting to get examed. But the doctors are paid and also used to doing that type of thing.
