The truth that brings a tear, because if you lie to them, then sooner or later their gonna find out about the lie and then the tears they cry are going to be way worse than the tears they would have cried if the truth had just been told.

A LIE that brings a SMILE is worse, because when the TRUTH is found out it will bring not just one TEAR, but many.

I've never been hurt worse then with the lie that brought a smile, then finding out the truth.
2 1/2 years of tears, so far.

Hello =)
It depends greatly on some other factors...
Can this lie harm anyone?? One must be very sure about that. If it cannot, then a lie to spare someone's feelings is not without merit.
Does this truth do anyone any good, or is it "truth" only for the sake of "truth"??....such a truth is an abomination, and should never be spoken....
Many many people have been destroyed emotionally "in the name of truth"......this is nonsense. We must always place the feelings and emotional wellbeing of others first, and consider what we are about to say, before we go about saying it.
Namaste, and Happy New Year,
--Tom

the lie is worse because it is only temporary, and the tears that come after the truth is found out are 10x as bad as the tears from the truth if it been told originally

It depends on if the question is something like do you think i would look good with highlights or do you love me. If its something that you can easily change ie clothes hair color make up etc then a lie that brings a smile is okay but if its something profound something life changeing always tell the truth

The lie is worse, cause not only is it a lie, but it will also bring a tear when the truth is discovered and the lie revealed.

A lie is worse. It usually calls for another lie to be told to cover that lie. This can begin an endless pattern of lies.........that will eventually come to light. It would be hard to remember all of the lies. It's better to start off with the truth, everytime.
