I'm 25wks pregnant and i'm soooo tired! I've felt different degrees of tiredness through out this pregnancy but now i've gone to a whole new level. I could sleep standing up! I'm sluggish and completely out of energy. I work from 8am til 6pm so can't nap or anything during the day - does anyone have any tips on how to feel better? I've increased fruit intake and water intake etc but its not working.

Any tips on how to be more awake and alert?

Thanks.

the more active you are, the less tired you become. Well thats what i have found anyway. When I was about 17 weeks i was the same. I am now 26 weeks and feel great. As I said, i found the more excersize and stuff i do, i feel a whole lot better!
Maybe you are pushing yourself too hard though?? I am already a SAHM, so I would imagine our tasks during the day would be totally diffrent.
You may be low on iron or something??
Go and see your doctor and see what they say... it could be something as simple as having some vitamin supplements!
Good Luck!!

I went through the same thing when I was pregnant this last time... I feel asleep sitting up many nights before 7pm! My husband would laugh because I was in bed before our 2 year old! Make sure you are taking your iron, folic acid, and a multivitamin. Keep up with the fluids. Also, sometimes it helps to do something active even though you might not feel like it... go for a quick walk around your block- the activity plus the cool air may wake you up when you start to feel sluggish. Other than that, all I can say is that it will pass. Good luck and congratulations.

well im only 8 weeks pregnant, but when i can i try to get my rest they say when your at work you should try to keep your feet raised in the air. its best so you dont have much swelling. its good to listen to your body, so if you feel tired then its best if you go to sleep, its important to get as much as sleep as possible while your pregnant. and if your out of energy take a break, your pregnant for god sake.
