More phones,Cell phones Internet. These things have made it easier to communicated.

I don't think it has increased. I think everyone is talking more and listening less. It seems the more we use cell phones, voicemail, email etc. we have become more distant from each other as humans. We don't have to leave the house so we don't expose ourselves to multiple situations that might lead to new relationships. We place personal ads instead of meeting in person. The internet has become a place to express that pain, witness the singles sites.

We are using the same old techniques to understand it all but we are able to connect on many more levels...
Internet, Cell phone, text messages etc

Well telephone numbers have changed as before they were letters and such, we now have wireless telephones and the internet as well as long distance calling. Before it was operator assisted calling....Ah Ah Ah!

People have many more choices; emails, webcam...
But we all still stick to phones so it just keeps improving
