If you don't know what to do why are you planning on breeding? What are you going to do with all of the fry? Just because you own something that can produce offspring doesn't mean you have to breed it.

There are lots of books on breeding Betta fish. Check your local fish/pet store. You will need at least one extra tank, because you will need to separate you male and female Betta's. After the male squeezes the eggs out of the female you will need to remove the Female. The male watches over the eggs and fry. He will be very aggressive at this point. Anything will be his enemy even your finger. Check out Pet Co for a book on breeding Betta's. It takes time and doesn't always work, sometimes the male will just be to aggressive and kill the female. You also might be able to find some information on line at www.peteducation.com it is a good website for information on almost all pets. Good luck and have a Happy New Year
