I have money in my business account that I have received from work on the internet. The money can be deposited in my bank account. Can I use this money to purchase things on Ebay when the seller accepts Paypal. I have not and will not give Paypal my credit card number. I don't want to attempt to win a bid if I can't use the Paypal funds to complete the purchase. Using my credit card to create another account is to much of a hassle.

The big deal with the credit card?

Having to have the address match exactly is obstacle number one. I have more than one address, etc.

Different names on accounts, obstacle number two. Etc

I don't have money in the bank account, it is only set up for Paypal, should I wish to withdraw the money.

I have plenty of money I've earned on the internet in the account. Does everyone agree I can use this money to make purchases anywhere Paypal is accepted.

Can I select grade more than one answer? All are timely and thoughtful, it stinks if I must choose one.

What's the big deal with the credit card? I've been using one with Paypal for years and it works great. If you use an airline credit card you can earn miles even if you pay the charges off before interest is incurred. It was simple setting up with the credit card to use with Paypal.

You should be able to, paypal only uses your credit card as a backup form of payment. They will take the money from the bank account you have on file with them.

Yes, you can use the money in the PayPal account or send the money directly from you bank account to the others account. No personal information is released except your shipping address, since they'll have to ship you whatever you bought.

You do not have to give a credit card number until you run out of funds in your bank account. Buying things on ebay you only need a confirmed bank account.

I can give you a link that deals with Payapl & Ebay transactions through Paypal. PayPal is one of the most popular online money transfer systems widely used for online auctions, pay to surf programs, e-books and purchase of low value goods. It is now a part of the online auction website eBay. More details available at

Receiving payment through Paypal should be OK. You should only give your e-mail address for that (the one that linked to your PayPal).

You can put funds into your PayPal account, or use your PayPal account to access your checking or savings account. Most buyers prefer PayPal, it's safer for both buyer and seller.

YES! You can use PayPal very easily on Ebay. All you do after the auction is over is click Pay, and it should take you to PayPal. Then you have to click a couple more Pay buttons.... and your item is payed for!
