I wish my mom had talked to me about boys.I had to learn about the birds and the bees from experience.And I made a few mistakes along the way as a teen and young adult.

No one ever tells you what's like to love and lose, or how it feels to waken and have breakfast with the blues. How to go on living, how to face another day. No one ever tells you the way.
My parents never really explained much about interacting with members of the opposite sex. While I don't blame them, I can't help but wonder how things would be different had they done just that.

That my first husband was a control freak and not to marry him. I have had more joy with my second husband in the short time I have been married to him than in all the wasted years I spent with my first husband.

that they weren't perfect. i looked up to them so much as a child that i was devastated as an adult when i realized that they made mistakes just like everyone else.
