Oh come on its a cracker of a movie, i like it but i know people who think its pish. It does say no.1 U.S box office hit on the box.

It's a good movie, but not quite "the" greatest movie of all time. That would be stretching it a pinch.

The old version was great. The newer one with Val Kilmer is pretty terrible, but it has some of the best opening credits I've ever seen.

is this a H.G.Wells novel orginally? I didn't mind it. To be fair if it was cast differently it could have been the greatest film ever, i believe it all depends on that...i mean marlon brando and valkilmer in the same film....................................
