the Anime series Tekkaman Blade 2, is there a 1st series? if so how many episodes r there for the 1st series?

In all there were 2 previous Tekkaman blade series.
The 1st series consisted of 26 episodes and was broadcast in 1975.
The 2nd was a remake of the first series but with different characters and consisted of 49 episodes and was broadcast in 1992.

The 2nd series will be available on DVD in the US and Canada in March of this year.
