5(x-2y)+7(2-4x)
5x-10y + 14-28x
10y + 14 -23x

Hi buddy. You gotta use the distributive property which means you have to distribute the 5 and the 7 so the expression then becomes 5x-10y+14-28x. Then when you simplify terms, you end up with 23x-10y+14 which, as far as I know, is the answer. I should know, I'm a tutor

5(x-2y)+7(2-4x) =
5x - 10y + 14 -28x =
-23x -10y = -14
23x + 10y = 14

Hi,
Use the distributive property to get
5x - 10 y + 14 - 28x
Then combine like terms to get
-23x -10y + 14

5X -10y+14-28x
Combine like terms
23x-10y+14
Then solve... I really don't know. This is a good question though. Sorry I'm no help, but my guess to the solution would be for you to look it up in your book and not try to cheat on your homework.
