The book is at least 18 years old and is about a woman who changes her stagnant life by losing weight and doing things for herself. She finds that one of the treats she can have is Three Muskateer candy bars as they have fewer calories than other deserts so she makes sure she always has them with her. It is really funny, (and I'm pretty sure it's fiction--maybe based on a true story but I'm not sure) and an inspiring book. Help!!! I cannot for the life of me remember the name of it.

Yes, actually I do. Its called "The Historian". Sure, its a few hundred pages (700) and the first few are dull, but at the end her work pays off and she looses the weight. Very inspiring.

Sorry, I've never heard of it, but I'd bet it is fiction.
