This is what I am doing.
I made a list of 25 things I dont like about smoking.
(stinks, it must be like kissing an ashtray, being in restaurants where I cant smoke feeling uncomfortable after eating)
list of 25 things I wont miss.
(Spending my money and not having anything to show the next day, dirty ashes on tables, etc)
25 things I look forward to in a smoke free life
(more money, more physical endurance, better dental health and breath)
25 things I will do to cope when the need for a smoke comes up
(go for a walk when angry, read paper instead of smoke with morning coffee, put lollipops in car ashtray, etc)
Good Luck
Dont believe the hype (that you need to smoke)
Dont give up the fight (against the addiction)

I smoked for 25 years and have been smoke free for 8. I had tried many times before and failed. I tried the gum and the patches. The weirdest thing I can say that seemed to help was that I quit caffeine first. Once I got rid of the "edge" from a caffeine buzz then my "nic fits" seemed less stressful. Other than that you just need to really, really want to quit!
Good luck to you!

Its very hard, but the outcome is wonderful. You can taste the flavor of food, your sex life would be even better then before. Only thing you need to do is to smoke a whole pack without stopping (then make a promise to yourself that would be your last pack). After that you will have the munches like crazy and start chewing on your finger nails, but trust me you will feel better about yourself. If this don't help you then go to this web site. www.medicalservicesandproducts.com
