Should Israel attack Iran unilaterally if America is unwilling to do it?

Should Israel take the initiative to deprive Iran of their nuclear technology?

Iran is a terrorist state that has proclaimed that it wishes to destroy Israel. Nuclear weapons would give them the opportunity to do so, heaven forfend.

If Israel does indeed have a nuclear capability, it will use it only as a last resort, after a first strike by some other power.

Iran is the biggest threat to the West today, and their military capability must be curbed by the West.

In addition, individual terrorists must be eliminated--if necessary by engaging them and killing them.

There can be no rational argument against this two-pronged approach.

Israel won't see Iran with a nuclear weapon as Iran has reported publicly it needs to make certain that Israel is wiped of the map. it somewhat is for this reason probably that Israel may be the front runner in attacking Iran, even inspite of the shown fact that it basically needs Iran to offer an excuse for a war with usa to start such as last the straits of Hormuz

Nope,they shouldn't ...Actually it would be quite illegal,not that this has ever stopped Israel from doing something...First of all there is absolutely no prove that Iran is building a nuclear weapon and if they are building one,there is no prove that they are going to use it...
Second,as a country that signed the nuclear non proliferation treaty,Iran has every right to nuclear technology,as long as it is used in civilian purposes...and until now there is no prove that they don't respect that...

And,inat,when exactly did Iran threaten to use their nuclear weapons (which don't even exist) to wipe Israel off the map?Yes,Ahmadinejad said that "Israel should be wiped of the map",but from where exactly are the nuclear weapons in this "direct quote"?

Thanks to George Bush and his neo con fanatics the U.S is in no position to do anything the rest of the world (except of course Israel)will go along with. Iran is now in a much stronger position to thumb its nose at the U.S and so does North Korea. Israel is now in a far more weaker and dangerous position than they were due to its own stupidity in the matter of Lebanon and U.S stupidity in Iraq. Any unilateral moves on Israel,s part towards Iran will justifiably isolate them further.Any reasonably informed person knows that Iran,s president is full of bluster and as much as he hates the state of Israel he is not willing to sacrifice Iran to destroy Israel.

No!,I would think all countries in the middle east would not want Iran to have nukes,its in everyones interest if nukes are kept out of funatical leaders hands.I dont think Israel should be the bad guys in this world problem.

Israel SHOULD attack Iran and destroy their nuclear reactor, because Iran has been threatening to use their nuclear weapons against Israel and "wipe Israel off the map" (direct quote).

No country should attack the other ; everyone's unsecure because each country's attacking the other .
The solution is hard indeed and unreachable quickly , but it's better to negotiate and to find common ground between the civilizations !
