NO NO NO!!! The makeup is going to make you skin bad. Why are you in such a hurry to wear make up. Most men like au natural. I am 32 yrs old and I have never wor makeup. All men tell me they like that because I am not fake. I do wear fake hair occasionally though.

Wearing makeup has nothing to do with grades. While all or many of your friends might seem to be wearing it, it's really a hassle. It just means that a person is going to have to take more time getting ready to put it on in the morning. You said it yourself; you have good skin, so why do you feel the need to wear makeup? Natural beauty is the best kind anyway. I'd save makeup for when you're a little older and maybe feel you need to wear it.

Yes, but you dont need much, as most 14 year olds have gorgeous skin. I started at about that age, and my mom let me wear clear mascara, a little blush and lip balm or gloss that was close to my natural lip color. Any maybe a little translucent powder if my nose was a little shiny. I was not allowed to powder or foundation, and thank goodness. I would have looked foolish! The key to looking your best, is to never, ever wear a drop more makeup than you need. You'll end up covering up your best qualities. Save all that other stuff for when you're old and have wrinkles!! Hope this helps!

It is up to your parents - sorry - the makeup concern they have is valid, you have good skin now but have you seen many older women without it? It causes pigment damage, premature aging and can lead to acne as well as allergic reactions that can cause scaring. I know the argument that you want to look like everyone else and makeup makes you feel more attractive and confident but I am old enough to tell you don't rush you will have lot's of time to wear makeup and the stress you are going through to win a fight your parents minds are set on winning just isn't worth the effort. Good Luck!

I agree that fourteen is not too young to wear makeup, but your parents do have the final say in this.
When you do wear makeup, please, please, keep it natural. I've seen so many girls who have overdone the makeup to the point where they looked better without it. Enhance, don't cover up. Please avoid the raccoon eye thing. For 99% of girls, it just looks bad. Try putting on makeup to gain a natural look, show your parents what you look like with it, and if you haven't gone overboard, they may at least allow you to wear it for special occasions, if not for everyday.
By the way, I don't see what connection there is between your grades and wearing makeup. The reasons you get good grades are because you are smart enough to do it, because that is why you are in school, to learn, and so you can take pride in yourself, and so your parents will be proud of you as well.

well i am the same age as you and did not start wearing makeup until last year...i am an honors student with a's and b's as well...
if your grade slips...you should stop and wait

also, you should not wear much makeup...its also not too attractive lol...for girls like us:
maybe eyeliner (but NOT heavy)
mascara if u like it
a good lip balm...or something like vaseline petroleum jelly as an undercoat (essential)
and also a lipgloss that goes nice with your skin...no bright colors...get clear or a shade that matches your natural lip (also an essential which would go over your undercoat)
if u want...maybe eyeshadow...but i wouldnt recommend it...its pointless...and you end up taking it off because it messes up during the day or it wears off or something or the other

i really hoped this helped
good luck and if u ever need anything..u can always email me...it should be on my profile

Happy new years!

Congratulations on being 14 with good skin! I wish I was that lucky! Keep it that way by not wearing foundation which can clog your pores and make your skin erupt with spots but otherwise go for it. Use make-up to enhance your features rather than cover them up. Cos your young you can get away with bright colours and stuff. Urban decay make-up is a good brand for teenagers. Focus on enhancing your eyes, cos if you do lips, in my expiriance, boys get the wrong impression.

First of all, I think that makeup should not depends on school grades. Anyway... yes, a 14 year old girl can use makeup if she and her parents keeps in mind her age. She will need to go to a comestic counter on a store so they can teach her what kind of makeup is proper for her age. It's important to remember to keep it simple and natural so she would not look like a clown.

I believe that this kind of decision is up to the individual and the individual's supporters (mom and dad). I started wearing makeup early, around 11 or so. You dont have to wear a lot of it either. Just mascara is all I wear sometimes. Or a very little bit of a nuetral eye shaddow.

a 14 yr old has the natural pure beauty that every older woman is trying to look like she has by wearing fake colors on her face.
Stay looking young, fresh, dewey for as long as you can, without all the fake colors
When you do begin to wear makeup, stick with mascara, lip gloss, a tiny bit of blush. Stay away from eyelid color, liners, colored lips, etc. They just make you look old, not "older"
