Condoms -can- indeed "break", especially if you are using thin condoms, multiple condoms at the same time, or any lubricant that is NOT water-based.
Also, be sure to squeeze out all the air from the condom before you put it onto your penis. The air bubble can add to friction and may break the condom.

they do split, it is NOT uncommon for a girl to fall pregnant after intercourse where a condom has been used.
i'm sure within time you will experience this problem too!

They should not split if put on correct, The tip should be squeezed empty of air.
Many do split if this is not dome right or you go hell for leather before the poor girl has got her juice flowing.

Condoms split when the friction is too hard and fast, because latex is thin and it looses its elasticity after a while.

They can and bits can be left inside your partner and lead to infection and other complications not the least pregnancy or std's
