EVerytime I start my computer, a window appears and says my system is not compatible with decoder. I have Windows XP Home edition, I click on "yes" FIX IT and it wants me to BUY it, what the heck is that about? How do I get rid of this annoying window everytime I start up? I never knew Windows xp to have such downloads/upgrades, the program is expensive enough!

This is spyware and has nothing whatsoever to do with Windows upgrades. You need to get Ad-Aware SE Personal and SpyBot, download and install both of them. Run Ad-Aware first, doing a full scan. Then use the immunize feature in SpyBot and download the latest upgrades. You will then be protected against such junk as this. Run Ad-Aware daily, using Smart Scan, if you are on the internet daily. Both are free and both are good.

That is not part of the windows xp program it is part of some program that either came with your computer that was a trial version or something you download. What program does it say it is exactly for? You can delete it from add/remove programs. Or try this look for it in here > go to start and then run and type in this msconfig > then go to start up and uncheck the box that looks like that program and it won't start with computer anymore. Good luck. Happy 2007.

Uhm... windows doesn't have those updates ^^; Sounds to me like you have spyware on your system. You should run a scan.
