He was horrible, but I hated how they handled the situation. If they planned on killing him, why kill him on the start of some religion's holy day? That's like killing Bush on Christmas.

I think it's all some political show to gain support from the Bush administration and then our government can boast about how they achieved something. But hmm... just curious, why did we go after Saddam Hussein in the first place? Why were we after Hussein and not Bin Laden? Because he had "weapons of mass destruction" and he could have been a threat - though he had NO connection to 9-11. There are obviously greater evils out there that we need to spend more attention on, no?

Anyways, the whole thing is pretty lame. But I am glad that Hussein won't be able to wreak any more havoc on anyone and that he's in God's hands to be judged.

I thought the trial was conducted poorly. It was pretty clear that the government had a predetermined outcome. I watched this thing all the way through and was very surprised at all the irregularities. They removed a judge a few months back for being too lenient on him which tells you something. Even after the trial nobody could figure out what they were doing. There were many conflicting reports as to whether he was supposed to be hung within 30 days of judgement or after 30 days. Nobody seemed to know what was actually going on until they were like were doing it now. In the U.S. all the BS would have been cause for a mistrial. Without a doubt.

Oh yeah- I am also anti death penalty. I think it sends the wrong message about how to solve problems.

I think that killing Saddam was the best they could do..it won't really change anything in Iraq, people from over there are weird, all they could think off is death. I do agree with the death penalty, I think that only people that kill should be killed..but the ways that they are killed are much less painful than what the people they hurt felt..they should be killed in the same way!!

Saddam wanted Bush to sit with him in public and have a discussion and Bush did not want to.Saddam wanted to tell all of Bush's little secrets. So soon after that, bush wanted him dead. Saddam was going to tell everything.Saddam just wanted a conversation with bush on national TV but Bush knew he had lots to hide from the American people.I never trust Bush's words. We all think Saddam is the worst criminal of them all but you know what, president Bush is the best criminal I have seen who has gotten away with murder.Bush is so sneaky.you just cant take his word on things.I believe there's always a flip side to things.things are never what they appear to be. Saddam's death could have waited. He should have gotten his time to speak and say whatever he had to say.

I think the president is and idiot and that if we all thought that saddam was enough of a threat ( which he obviously was ) holding him in captivity was ENOUGH. It would of showed the US is " bigger " then what other countries may think. :P

On a side note, I think that saddams death has raised to much fuss. He's gone now and I peronally think it is time to drop it.

I think he should have been tortured, but killing him was good enough. The only good thing about the death penalty is that taxpayers money doen't have to be wasted to keep criminals alive.

Yes I agreed. I never once shed a tear in my Kleenex for that madman. The world is better off without him.

I found it disturbing. I know he was evil and all that, and it's like killing a crazed dog who's a danger and not really able to live a normal life, but when you fight fire with fire, you just make a bigger fire. I don't think it will change anything.

I think it's sad he tortured so many people; but I think the US military is doing a great job in Iraq and Afghanistan!
