no its a complicated issue , it is decided usually for the long run , for example umaga never lost because they wanted to make his character fit a certain profile

The McMahons.
Vince McMahon - WWE Owner
Linda McMahon - CEO
Shane McMahon & Stephanie McMahon - their children.
Stephanie is the chief of the writing staff for the WWE. They write the storylines and pretty much decide who is going to win/lose a match. A lot of the time I believe that it is based on what the fans want along with what they think will best suit the storyline and where they intend to go with theat particular storyline.
They have a staff of writers that, try, and I do stress try, to come up with new ways to get people interested. It's not just, "Batista is going to wrestle John Cena tonight"... there has to be a story behind it and that's what they do. They create the story behind why these people are wrestling, whether its romance, or revenge.
All the matches are predetermined, of course it's 'fake' but the contact is generally real, and so are the injuries sustained.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

They have writing teams who determine the outcome. Producers will feed the referee (who wears an earpiece) to tell the wrestlers to end the match. The wrestlers pre-determine the ending (finishing moves) before the beginning of the match. You will also see one talking in another's ear during the match for upcoming moves.
Also, when the writers' determine outcomes, they usually are putting together a run (series of matches) to keep the viewers watching and paying. This could lead to matches over months at their PPVs.
One other thing, HHH (Paul Levesque) is big on the writing team.

They have writers who set up situations months in advance. Wrestling is like a soap opera. Good guys become bad guys and vice verse. Yes The McMahon family owns WWE and ECW. All of the outcomes are known by the wrestlers well in advance. It is fun to watch sometimes though. LOL

Scriptwriters just amazed that someone who doesn't care would go in to such detail for something they don't care about. And where is it written that you have to listen to her a real friend says i'm not interested and moves on to the next topic. It's fake we all know it we watch it cause we like it. But the question remains why do you care how the outcome is decided

The writers write who is going to win based on what they want the wrestlers to do. For example if they wanted to put Jeff Hardy on the back burner for a while they'd pick his opponent to win the title from him. I know wrestling is fake but i'm hooked on it. Mr.McMahon has a lot of say in the storylins and who wins, if he likes you he gives you spots(or good parts in matches) and he puts you over(you win matches). If he doesn't like you, welcome to the McMahon Kiss My A$$ Club.
