It happened to me a few times I think. :)
I remember that one night, I had a dream identical to a previous one. At least it started the same way. But the first time, it turned into a nightmare, because of a decision I had made (I had to choose an animal). The second time, I remembered what had happened the first time and chose another animal, and it didn't turn into a nightmare, it was quite a funny dream.
The dream was meant to be a nightmare though, because the atmosphere didn't change. It was a funny dream with a sombre atmosphere. :) sounds freaky to me. :D
My opinion is that people shouldn't try to control their dreams when they are "lucid" - I think it could have some negative consequences, it can ruin a part of their subconscious universe which is exposed during that dream. :)

Yup, I have ^_^ Its very weird bacuse I kept trying to move physically, but I had to move in my head. I even told someone in my dream that it was all a dream. Also, once I did something stupid in my dream (can remember what) because I thought it was a dream, then panicked because I was not sure (untill something unbelievable happened and I knew it was a dream. I LOVE it when this happens, though it has not occured for a LONG (over a year) time

I haven't. My brother had some lucid dreaming experiences which he really enjoyed. I have two children, ages 7 and 11, and I try to encourage them to tell me their dreams, discuss techniques for having lucid dreams, and be accepting and interested in the content. Sometimes my son, 11, does have them.
