i'm not sure how to explain this but i'll try: i have two computers and one cable modem. i have a router that is supposed to be able to put the internet on both of the computers so the internet can be used with the differnet computers at the same time. i plugged in and did everything like the instructions said but the internet will only work on one computer but not the other. anyone know why? (i hope that all made sense)

Could you type ipconfig /all and paste the results here? It sounds like the other computer isn't properly configured with the router. I suggest you try typing that command on both computers and compare the differences, they should be nearly identical except for the IP address slightly (off by 1 at the end).

Ok I assume this isn't a wireless router, and that you have both of them plugged into the router throught either usb or ethernet cables. Try different cables make sure the ones you are using are not damaged. Perhaps it could even be your ethernet card on your other computer. Any more info you could provide would be helpful.
