You got to have ice water running through your veins! Always be leary of people and there tactics in the work place! Keep your head on a swivel and do put too much trust in anyone! I am reading a book right now that deals a lot with this subject and several others that will help you be on top of your game. The book is, "The 48 Laws Of Power" by Robert Greene! Its a great book!! Well if you've already got backstabbed, start thinking of a way to get back at the individual!

Generally, managers reward people who help improve customer base, cost-control, operating procedures, or profitability; if you can achieve this by stabbing a fellow employee in the back, a manager will usually reward you. That's her job.

Employees are most often the most expensive "operating expense" a business has, and if one employee can identify another who is costing rather than generating profits, then perhaps they should be rewarded for pointing that out!

Business exists to make money, not to give people jobs...
