Asperger syndrome — also referred to as Asperger's syndrome, Asperger's, or just AS — is one of five neurobiological pervasive developmental disorders (PDD) that is characterized by deficiencies in social and communication skills. It is considered to be part of the autistic spectrum and is differentiated from other PDDs and from high functioning autism (HFA) in that early development is normal and there is no language delay.

Treatment coordinates therapies that address the core symptoms of AS: poor communication skills, obsessive or repetitive routines, and physical clumsiness.

Asperger's syndrome is a very mild form of autism in which a person seems to be normal except for a certain lack of affect that is just a few degrees short of what you would expect from a very shy or quiet or timid person. It can cause frustration in close relationships, particularly romances. But the lack of affect is something that the person with the syndrome cannoit change except very slightly and after very gentle behavioral work. So, though it's not curable, it is manageable through cognitive behavioral therapy or couples counselling or both. There is a wonderful novel about a child with a condition between autism and Asperger's Syndrome by the English novelist Mark Haddon, THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME.

Autism and asperger's syndrom are a lot alike. There is no cure but need to get a diagnosis, there are meds out there to help these people focus better. Lot of free information on the net. Just write the words and press go. Impossible to describe all symptoms here.

Aspergers syndrome is the highest functioning kind of autism, and autism is not something that can be cured, but people with aspergers usually function quite well, perhaps with a few social abnormalities, but nothing that would really hold them back from normal potential.

Go to this website for all of your answers. There is no cure. There is social skills training and lifeskills which is what people who have this disorder lack. They are like children in grown up bodies. My son has asperger syndrome.

Asperger syndrome is high-functioning autism without language and cognitive delays. Aspergians like social interaction unlike high-functioning autist (of whom I am one) but they cannot form such great relationships. There is not a cure but there are meds to help such as Risperdal. If I could cure autism, I would not because it helps me to do a lot of extraordinary things.

Sorry, there's no cure for anything on the autism spectrum. I believe it's because there are many causes. You can only manage the condition. If determination or strength of character could cure it, my son would not have autism.
