Do you regret not going to a better college? Is it harder than it looks to make money?

I went to Harvard many many years ago. I believe in order to succeed, it comes back to the individual and their character and determination. Not what school one goes to. I know very very successful people who did not attend the ivy league or so-called better colleges. Just be you, work hard, keep your integrity, make sound choices, and you will succeed.

I went to the one of the best colleges for my field - and when I started working most of my peers had regular college degrees - after a few years I sprung to the top because I was more educated and knowledgeable about what i was doing... I didn't think it was worth it cause i spent all that money and it was harder - but in the long run - YES it pays off... All the stuff they taught me that I didn't think would matter did in the long run - if anything I was bale to talk to those above me inthe same language - PLUS - my bosses always liked that I went to a superior school and would introduce me with adding where I went to school - Always oohs and ahhhs - and a statement like - "well thats the best school for it, huh?

Better schools don't make your work ethic - but can open many doors for you in the long run! And with many people getting bachelor degrees - you need to stand out amoungst them.

Depends. Colleges are just like any other product or service on the market. Employer will pay more for "brand name" colleges like Yale, Harvard, Princeton, or state universities. Private or Community colleges are closer to what we think of the generic brands. They're cheaper, but often provide an education which is just as good.

The name of an institution can go very far when trying to get yourself into a corporation. It does help, but I would love if it didn't. Some of the smaller schools can definitely give you a good education and keep the classes on a personal level. That is what today's businesses need. To learn how to be personal again.

Go to a cheap not-so-well-known college, save your money, earn yourself good grades, and then save for grad school. The US had too many people with bachelor's degrees, they're becoming worthless so start working on those grad degrees or start a business!

Don't think so. I know a Yale graduate, and she's working among community college graduates.

Do like the first poster said - trust.
