An uncle of mine when he for example pours beer in his glass, he also pours some sprite or 7up supposedly lessening the effect of the beer. He does the same thing with wine even sweet wine. A friend of mine told me it's worse when you do that.

By mixing soda and wine, it gives it a more citrus taste. You still have the taste of alchol, but not quite as strong. To me this, makes it taste more like a wine cooler.

Never heard of mixing beer with pop...must be his own personal thing. Most people will mix alcholol with a beverage of there choice to lesson the effect's and to make it taste better. Have heard of some people putting pop in wine also a sugar cube to sweeten the taste. people say that carbonated drink's usually give you them a headache, if done in excess....of course no one thinks it could be the alcholol that did it!!!

I do that too but I make sure that I use a diet soda(ginger ale in beer is very good) or even better perrier water. I believe that the sugar found in a lot of the soft drinks is not good and cola drinks simply make you more dehydrated.

that actually sounds really gross...why would you ruin the taste of beer like that? and yeah, diluting alcohol is going to lessen the effects, but not much.

Im with you, I cant do pop because of the fact its too candy. I stay faraway from juice because of the fact I used to drink Vodka OJ all the time and now I cant drink OJ without it tasting like vodka. attempt tonic water and a lime wedge.

the sugar in soda will actually cause your body to absorb the alcohol less quickly than with a sugar-free mixer.

The only thing "worse" might be how it tastes.... not anything it is gonna do to you.
