Yes i know its the sponsors and such, but give me a break, name them something that sounds good.

i think there was a team this year that went to a bowl, and they didn't even have a .500 record. they had like one more loss than win. they'll end up having a bowl game for every team to go.

The bowls are supposed to benefit charity. They also bring a lot of money to the host city and the schools that participate. i assume that the players, band, cheerleader, etc enjoy the bowl activities. A lot of fans enjoy going to the games. As long as the games are profitable, they will be around.

Simple answer. ITS FOR THE MONEY. When a school gets a bowl game they get a share of the revenure from the advertising and the winning team gets a huge bonus as well.

I totally agree. I do colleges need money so bad that they need to add more games. Come on it's not like they are paying the players or anything. Heck if they need money they just raise tution, why not pay the front office less instead.
