Hmm. It's not shame so much as the way people react.
1.I love Donovan, a sort of hippie Scottish singer from the 60's - which almost always seems to get frowned upon.
2."All Out Of Love" by Air Supply.
3. Dave Mason's "We Just Disagree".
4.I dance around the house to Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers and Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons.
5. I know every word to Kelis' "Milkshake" and Sublime's "Caress Me Down".
6. Gordon Lightfoot. He's got some awesome songs but the moment I say his name I get catcalls:(
7. I love Journey's "Faithfully".
8. I own and know the words to every Simon & Garfunkel and Paul Simon album. This is not so much an embarassing thing as one that used to make friends look at me like I was from another planet.
9. I can't get enough of the instrumentals from the film "Tsotsi".
10. OK, OK - like Witchy I too weep when I hear Michael Martin Murphy's "Wildfire". It is beautiful.
*Witchy* - I have a version of that song sung by children from a Canadian school in the 70's. It was just the teacher and a couple of mikes and a tape player, but I think it's an utterly gorgeous version. If you ever want it, I can send it through Napster.
OK, Roswell, how 'bout you? I haven't been up on a great deal of current music from the moment I was born.
Happy New Year!

No song am I embarrassed to listen to. It is not the words that matter, but the melody and what it promotes and inspires.
