Our neighbors have been playing their loud bass drums on and off for a few nights running, and we're getting tired of it. My parents tend to avoid direct contact and such and wish to contact the police. Do we call 911? The precincts are closed for today. Or should we wait until they re-open?
Side note, I live outside the city limits of Everett, WA.
Thanks!

Call the non-emergency police number. The police department is never closed. Do not call 911 - that is for emergencies only.

don't call 911. if you were in a car accident you wouldn't want the 911 lines being tied up with calls for loud noise.

if you are outside the city limits you need to most likely call your sheriff's department. depending upon your zoning laws -- there may be nothing that the sheriff can do. whatever police force you call -- call their regular number listed in the phone book -- they should have one.

good luck.

...Do not call 911. Your situation is on non-emergency status.
Direct dial the non-emergency number to your local police. Remember 911 is for LIFE threatening emergencies only.
When an individual utilizes 911 for non-emer, situations, someone's life may be put in jeopardy because the phone line is being tied up for lesser type of situations. Be considerate.

Most cities have a noise ordinance in their cities you can call the non emergency number with the police department and find out what exactly there is that you can do about the problem.

You can call 911 and let them know. Just becasue the precinct is closed it doesnt mean that you wont be able to get the police to help you.
good luck
