If she is rude and has an attitude when we ask her to bring something to the table then no I will not leave a tip. I've had a waitress one time that was rude but the service was good and she brought us anything we needed. I could tell she was just having a bad night and someone from another table was mean to her so we did leave her a tip.

If she's flat out RUDE, then no I don't leave a tip. If the service is not as good as it should be, there's a few things I take into consideration... if the place is busy and she has a lot of tables, I still tip based on how I think she's doing given the amount of work that she has. But if she's just rude... heck no!

The key word is here is RUDE.
In this case I would leave not tip and let the manager know why she wasn't receiving a tip.
Nothing can ruin a meal faster than your server being rude.
Heck, even if you are ineffecient, sometimes forget to check back, but at least have a good attitude and are showing an effort, that is all I ask and you would receive your normal tip.

Absolutely not.
We had a rude waitress at a Pizzeria Uno and we certainly didn't give her a cent. On the receipt, there was a number you could call to speak to someone about your experience. I did just that, reported the waitress, what she did and DIDN'T do and her overall attitude.
We've received a $20 voucher for the next visit!

I won't leave a waitress a tip if she's rude or if she doesn't check with our table enough, like she's supposed to.

I know that's a tough job so I'd assume she was just having a bad day but it might not be as big. I always leave a tip. Especially if it's a place that I'll be going back to.

she might just be having a bad day, so i'll leave one, but it won't be a good one. on the other hand, if a waitress is really nice, i'll leave more than 20%. waitresses work hard.

If I wasn't a waitress I'd say no, but the only time I'm rude is when the customer is rude or condescending first.

YES!!! Definatly. Think if you were having a really bad day so you were just ticked off, and werent trying to be rude, and then someone didnt leave a tip which would make your day even worse.
