the higher the MB the faster you will play games and serf the net.

The difference is 256. Duh?

Seriously, video memory is needed for high speed, high detail graphics rendering. Many high end games and graphic arts, autoCAD applications require a whole lotta video memory. The more the merrier.

The actual difference only depends on what you are going to do. If you are going to do newer video games, picture manipulation, along with ANY 3d modeling, you are going to want more, more more!

Otherwise, right now, 256 is still an okay card. :)
