No, it would not be humane to release the mice outside in this weather. Keep in mind, too, that these are domestic mice, not wild mice. They would have a very hard time fending for themselves and would most likely die outside.
Go to http://www.petfinder.com and click on "Shelter and Rescue Groups" to look for a rodent rescue group in your area. Or, take the mice to the humane society after they are weaned. I do not recommend taking them to a pet shop. They may very well end up as live snake food.
Any method of "putting them to sleep" is going to be unpleasant for the mice. No animal wants to die. The baby mice will grow and be weaned quickly, and then you can give them to a rescue group or shelter. It'll be fine.

No! there is no humane way to like, 'put them to sleep'! Do you have a local animal shelter who would take them? if not, a simple ad in the paper or online for good homes would be one way. Otherwise, talk to the people in your local pet shop. If you don't know anything about mice you should visit a vet first to check if she is indeed pregnant and make sure her stomach isn't swollen through illness. Your vet may well know of someone who would able to take care of the babies.
Mice may be small but they need as much care and attention as any pet of any size.

You can't take the babies from the mother until they are ready to feed on their own. And l think a pet shop will take them, but the could become a food source to something. And if you turn them out side, they could be more of a food source cause they will be too tame. So you have another chose, find new homes for them. Only you can be the judge of that

Well, there is something called "cervical dislocation". It is done in research and when preparing mice for snakes when they need to be a "fresh kill" abd no chemicals can be used.
They take a pencil; and put it behind the head and apply pressure in a quick motion while pulling the tail in the other direction. It quickly breaks the neck before they know it.
Not a great propisition!! I think I would prefer it to freezing them alive though.

just let them be born , let the mom care for them then when they are grown let them out side. dont worry its humane. but if you dont want to do that then just get them to a pet shop(they with take any old mouse out there) or you could give them away to other people , what ever you like best :3

You can give them to someone who owns a snake? You can gas them but there is no way of not hurting them.

Find a local shelter or mouse/small animal rescue that will take them.

placed up classified ads on web content like Kijiji or Craigslist saying "puppy mice for sale" or something like that. I used to reproduce mice, and that i offered each for $15 to ward off human beings searching for feeder mice. It worked, AND the mice were given strong, loving houses. try it! do not promote your mice to puppy shops. they are going to misinform you and promote them as feeders. likely.

I would plead with you not to kill them. Take them to your local animal shelter or vet, hower they must be weaned first! I wish I lived near you, I'd take them.
