where can you buy a trash can for the sims?

i mean i have tried buying a garbage can so when the family pick up garbage they dont have to go all the way outside. It wastes time. what do I do? By the way its the first sims game. thanx

It's in MISC items, bottom right hand corner of the buy screen. Then click ALL items, (infinte symbol) and they are in there.

yes you should be able to buy a trash can just check through all the item options and the kitchen section
