I don't think size/weight has much to do with it as it would with football. i would think your position depends on where your skills are strongest.

My son is 12 years old . He is about your size , but he is 2 inches taller and maybe 5 pounds heavier. He has been playing baseball since he was old enough to walk and I am happy to say that he loves the game. He has been fortunate to have some good coaching and now he can play any position on the field , including pitcher and catcher and he does a good job. There is no certain body type for certain positions written in stone. Speed and range are big factors though, especially in the outfield and middle infield. I would say at your age it is a good idea to try and learn all of the different positions and let your coaches decide where to play you. Practice as much as possible and get your mechanics down. Most of all have a lot of fun playing baseball because it is a great game and you won't be a kid forever.

well, it depends on what position u like. and what ur best at. i play softball and 2 years ago, i had to play 3rd base the entire year. i hated it, but i was the best 3rd basemen on my team! now, i love playing 3rd base. not only because im the best at that position but because i got attached to that position! yes, i still love to play pitcher and catcher, and other positions, because i know what to do. it just really matters if u like the game, choosing the position u like, and what position ur best at. like i said, if ur coach doesnt let u play at the positon u wanted, then just try it out. if i hadnt of played that season, i wouldnt be where i am today

If your fast then 2nd base, short stop, or centerfield.

If your slow 1st base, catcher, 3rd base, right, or left field.

If you've got a good throwing arm: shortstop, catcher, right field, or short stop.

If you don't have a good arm: left field, 1st base, shortstop.

Moderate throwing arm: 3rd base and 2nd base.

Just depends on the the individual
