I am about 12 years old and I want my navel pierced badly!!!!! I am not sure when I should get it pierced??

You need to be 18 to have it done legally. Hopefully, by then you'll be old enough to have the sense not to do it.

I would call around and go to some of the shops in your area. If you have a good rapport with your parents, take them along and get thier opinions. I have a friend who took her daughter on her 16th birthday and the mom got her nose done at the same time.
I agree with the person who was talking about it migrating or rejecting. Also keep in mind that the navel can take as long as a year to fully heal up. You won't be able to change the jewelry as soon as you would be able to in your ears.
Take some time and do some searching online too. If worse comes to worse, you may be able to find some non-pierced jewelry you can live with till you find the right time!

Unless you want to do it yourself, which is NOT recommended, because you could do all sorts of damage to yourself, youdon't have to worry just yet.
Legally, most parlors won't peirce your navel until you're at least 16, with parental permission.
Once you are 18+, it should be no problem.
As a teenager, I understand wanting to piss your parents off, but remember to consider their feelings before you alter your body, since they do have a lot of control over you.

Most shops won't touch you till you're sixteen, and even then you have to have parental permission. I advise you to wait till at least then because you're body is still growing. If you get it done this young it may stretch as you grow and then finally migrate and/or grow out. Then instead of that sexy ring all you'll have is a scar. I got mine done when I was young and it grew out... I have a scar to deal with so I hope you'll choose wisely.
Body modification is fun though, so while you're waiting, pop a few more holes in your ears! Good luck either way you go.

I'm close to your age. i want it peirced too, but my mom would be horrified. Of course, for me that's the whole point.......lol.
I would just have to tell you, from the people i know that got it peirced, it hurts-BAD! that's why i'm scared to get it peirced.
but if you do, make sure to go to a profesional. if not, u could get seriously infected.
Personally, I think 12 is too young still. I would say wait till u r 14. Maybe you'll be able to withstand more pain then.

In Canada, you have bo be 18, or else have consent from a parent. I also suggest NOT gettign one at your age because you body it still matuing and you never know if you will gain weight. Also, the majority of people who get then get bad infections.Seriously. It is not good.

Why do you want it done? Does it signify something to you? If I were your mother, I would tell you to wait until you are in high school or college before you have anything permanent done like that. Whether you know it or not, it will make you look like a skanky ho! Is that the reputation you are going for?

It should not be done before the age of 88. By then maybe you'll be smart enough not to do it at all.

Don't ruin your body! chances are when your 30 or something you are going to think to yourself "why was i stupid enough to get his done? i hate it now!" so wait if your SURE you want it done! don't get it done in spite of your parents or something, because to tell you the Truth, that's just lame! i think that they are absolutely revolting...

About 30. That way you will remember all the pain when it gets infected, and when gangrene sets in and your belly rots off.
