Great question. While it's not physically possible to read someones mind, if you know an individual well enough, it might seem like you are doing just that. I pretty much know what my husband is think at all times. Heh.
Professional profiling is a field where experts try to get inside the minds of suspects, based on past behavior in similar situations. It doesn't always work, of course. The DC Sniper case is a good example of a flawed profile, but most of the time they come rather close. So maybe that's as close to mind reading as we're going to get.
Cheers!

Not in the sense that you "hear" it like spoken words, but the very best poker players can read enough facial, body, and verbal signals to come close. People who have lived together for a long time can build on those signals and the data base they have acquired over the years to be able to often predict what the other person was thinking in many situations.

it depends because i do it and am right most of the time it is just how much experience you have if you are good in talikg then you can predict the next thing and see the thing is do not tell any one that you are doing it i am telling you dude it is so much fun when you have the ability to do it it helps you a lot this is what you need to do start thinking about every thing you do any where you go and analyze every reaction you get trust me you will learn some thing

Uhhh well you can read a person's mind through body language - like emotional expression can be translated through smiles and frowns and stuff... but to actually have a 'third eye' and read someone's mind is impossible.

Yes but one needs to be expert....and still no one can predict 100% accurately. With body language one may be able to predict partially accurate.

Perhaps the more worthwhile question is; is it physically possible to NOT read someone's mind?
Seriously, how do we know that we do not?

Absolutely. All the non-verbal signals we send one another during conversation tell us worlds about what we're thinking.

If you remove their brain from their head, and there's writing on it, then yes.
Otherwise, no, unless you know them well enough to interpret their words, gestures, and behaviors into the thought processes they're having.
